Anthony is a registered physiotherapist born and raised in Sault Ste Marie with a big background in sports!
Prior to completing a Masters of Physiotherapy at Western University, Anthony was a member of both the Carleton and Laurentian University men’s varsity basketball teams. Through these experiences, he gained firsthand insight into the pressures and stresses athletes face when managing injuries. During this period, he also recognized the significant physical and mental support provided by his physiotherapist and medical team during his recovery. Anthony draws on these experiences and integrates them into his practice today.
He has continued to pursue higher levels of education with AIM Level 1, Introduction and Advanced Vestibular Rehab courses, and will be starting the Sport and Exercise Medicine Field of the Advanced Health Care Practice Program at Western University in the Fall. As Western puts it, this prepares clinicians to deliver advanced clinic care in sport injury and exercise medicine.
Outside of the clinic, Anthony is always on the move. Whether it is running, basketball, working out, snowshoeing or simply spending time with friends and family, Anthony truly tries to ‘practice what he preaches’.

Nicola grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and was always involved in sports at the competitive levels the city had to offer. While mainly participating in soccer and hockey, she saw firsthand the impact injuries had on teams and individuals. Turning her passion for athletics and helping others into a career was a natural progression. While completing her BSc in Athletic Training at Lake Superior State University, she worked with different sport teams around the "Twin Saults". She has since spent the past 20 years working with athletes in various sports and skill levels, in both clinic and on-field settings.
As a Certified Athletic Therapist, Nicola's focus has shifted more specifically to concussion treatment and management. After realizing there was a gap in the local area offering appropriate resources for concussion management and education, Nicola became the first Certified CCMI Concussion Practitioner in Sault Ste. Marie and was at the forefront of bringing a one-stop location for concussion resources to the city. She has recently further expanded her concussion management training with SHIFT Concussion Management and has teamed up with Integro Physiotherapy to provide another location for concussion services to the city!
Nicola’s views on rehabilitation involve a multi-disciplinary approach, providing a well-rounded outlook with any management plan. She believes education and functional movements are key to any rehabilitation. She likes to begin the process with basic movements and has a passion for modifying and progressing exercises –tailoring a management plan specific to an individual’s needs.
